As a non-profit, OIF does not endorse any person, product or service presented in the session. You are solely responsible for all content presented. Note most of our workshops and panels are recorded. They may be presented on this site and other outlets for distribution so that more people can benefit from the content provided. We will promote the event on our social media pages and via third-parties we may collaborate with.

Preparing for the event
Begin the session by Introducing yourself and your related experience.
Keep your presentation fun, exciting and informative.
Keep in mind any running times or limits alloted.
Engage the audience during your presentation.
A Q & A session from the audience may follow towards the the end of the event. Keep answers brief and answer the question being asked as well as you can. If you do not have a ready answer to a valid question posed to you, offer some possible sources or to follow up on that particular question at another time.

Preparing for the Zoom session
We will set up a Video conference session for you. Please join in roughly 10-15 minutes prior to the session start time so that we may run any technical tests and go over any last-minute items.
Our moderator will be managing the session, including allowing guests to enter the session.
Begin the session by Introducing yourself (please do not extend this part and risk losing audience).
Lighting yourself – Use soft, even lighting, avoid harsh lights and shadows where possible.
Background (A clean, natural backdrop that will not take attention away from you. the presenter is highly suggested. Pay attention to colors and hard lines in the background. Do not have pets/kids moving behind you as well. )
Microphone Test – Use a quiet and isolated section of your home or office to record the session. Make sure there are no external sounds that may interfere with the our audio quality.

Engage the audience during your presentation. Some audience questions during the presentation may be posed via the moderator. A Question and Answer session will be held at the end of the presentation.

If you do not have a professional Zoom account, we can set up the session for you using one of our accounts and promoting you to host for the session. Be sure to coordinate the date and time for the session with us.
Begin the session by Introducing yourself (please do not extend this part and risk losing audience). Inform the audience that the session is being recorded. If you are providing an “open” session after turning off the recording (see bottom), let the participants know. A brief disclaimer stating that you the content being presented is solely yours and that OIF does not endorse any person, product or service that may be represented therein.

Introduce yourself to the attendees. Mention the Guest Host and their titles and briefly go over the main topics to be discussed.
Inform all the attendees that the video session is being recorded and may be distributed on this website and affiliate channels for informational and/or promotional purposes. By attending they understand and agree to be taped for this purpose. Everyone should mute their mics until the Q& A session at the end.
Ask the attendees to try to limit background movements if they decide to have their video on
Inform the attendees that they may text you urgent questions during the presentation and to hold all others for the Q& A session at the end.
Be sure to allow people in as soon as they show up in the session. If you are controlling when someone enters the session, please do not let them wait too long or they may drop out.
It is best practice when recording a session for later public view to not show your guests on the recording screen, instead have the presenter show up full-screen.
